A detergent composition according to the present invention contains component (a), component (b), and component (c) listed below. A dilution obtained by diluting the detergent composition by 500 times (on a mass basis) in 20°C, 4°dH water satisfies the matters of: (1) having a pH of 5.5-9, inclusive, after having had a pH of 9.5 or greater at 20°C; and (2) an organic peracid being produced at a concentration of 1 μmol/L or more in the dilution.
