The present disclosure relates to a method for operating a terminal for performing a relay reselection between terminals in a wireless communication system, the method comprising: a step in which a first terminal establishes a PC5 connection with a second terminal through a first relay terminal; a step in which the first terminal decides to do relay reselection; a step of transmitting a direct communication request message in a broadcast manner on the basis of the relay reselection, wherein the direct communication request message includes relay reselection related-information; a step in which the first terminal receives a direct communication accept message transmitted on the basis of the second terminal; and a step of performing relay reselection on the basis of the direct communication accept message and setting a new path for the second terminal.
