This electrode group for a battery comprises a positive electrode, a separator, and a negative electrode which overlap one another, in said order, in a first direction. The positive electrode extends in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction and has a tube in which a current collector and a positive electrode active material are accommodated; the separator has a first base part including a front surface that faces the positive electrode in the first direction and a rear surface that faces the negative electrode in the first direction; the first base part is provided with a first projecting part that projects from the rear surface in the thickness direction of the separator; and the front surface has a contact part that comes into contact with the tube.
