Summary:A battery module, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: cell block assemblies comprising battery cell stacks in which a plurality of battery cells are stacked, and bus bar frames mounted on at least one surface from among the front surface and the rear surface of the battery cell stacks; module frames which accommodate the cell block assemblies and of which the front and rear surfaces are opened; top plates which cover the top surface and the front and rear surfaces of the cell block assemblies; and cross beams which are disposed adjacent to a side portion of the top plates covering the front and rear surfaces of the cell block assemblies, and which are formed in a straight line. The cell block assemblies comprise a first cell block assembly and a second cell block assembly which are arranged in parallel in the longitudinal direction of the battery cells, wherein the first cell block assembly and the second cell block assembly are spaced apart from each other such that the bus bar frames mounted on the first and second cell block assemblies face each other.
