An encryption method, a decryption method, an apparatus and a device. The encryption method comprises: obtaining an encrypted initialization vector on the basis of a first timestamp (301); by means of the encrypted initialization vector, encrypting data to be encrypted in an original message to obtain encrypted data (302); and sending an encrypted message to a second device, or broadcasting the encrypted message (303), wherein the encrypted message carry the encrypted data and time data determined on the basis of the first timestamp. Because the first timestamp has the characteristics of large variation span, irregularity, etc., the encrypted initialization vector generated on the basis of the first timestamp also has said characteristics. The data to be encrypted is encrypted by means of the encrypted initialization vector having said characteristics, reducing the probability that the encrypted message is decrypted by illegitimate devices and improving the security of the encrypted message.
