Summary:Provided is a high-refractive-index benzazole derivative that effectively absorbs a high-energy external light source in a UV region to minimize damage to organic materials inside an organic electroluminescent device, and thus contributes to a substantial improvement in the lifespan of the organic electroluminescent device. The organic electroluminescent device according to the present invention comprises: a first electrode; a second electrode; one or more organic material layers arranged between the first electrode and the second electrode; and a capping layer, wherein the organic material layer or the capping layer includes the high-refractive-index benzazole derivative represented by chemical formula 1 of the present invention. L'invention concerne un dérivé benzazole à indice de réfraction élevé qui absorbe de manière efficace une source de lumière externe de haute énergie dans une région UV pour réduire au minimum les dommages à des matériaux organiques dans un dispositif électroluminescent organique, et qui contribue ainsi à une amélioration sensible de la durée de vie du dispositif électroluminescent organique. Le dispositif électroluminescent organique selon la présente invention comprend : une première électrode ; une seconde électrode ; une ou plusieurs couches de matériau organique disposées entre la première électrode et la seconde électrode ; et une couche de recouvrement, la couche de matériau organique ou la couche de recouvrement comprenant un dérivé benzazole à indice de réfraction élevé représenté par la formule chimique 1 selon la présente invention. UV영역의 고에너지 외부광원을 효과적으로 흡수하여 유기 전계 발광 소자 내부의 유기물들의 손상을 최소화함으로써 유기 전계 발광 소자의 실질적인 수명 향상에 기여하는 고굴절 벤즈아졸 유도체를 제공한다. 본 발명에 따른 유기 전계 발광 소자는, 제1 전극; 제2 전극; 상기 제1 전극과 제2 전극 사이에 배치된 1층 이상의 유기물층; 및 캡핑층을 포함하고, 상기 유기물층 또는 캡핑층은 본 발명의 화학식 1로 표시되는 고굴절 벤즈아졸 유도체를 포함한다.
