The compounds resulting from the novel methods of the present invention are enzyme inhibitors and more particularly are metallo-β-lactamase inhibitors. La présente invention concerne la synthèse de composés qui peuvent être utilisés pour traiter des infections bactériennes en combinaison avec d'autres agents antibactériens, et plus spécifiquement en combinaison avec une classe d'agents antibactériens connus sous le nom de carbapénèmes. Les composés résultant des nouveaux procédés de la présente invention sont des inhibiteurs enzymatiques et plus particulièrement des inhibiteurs de métallo-β-lactamase.
