Abstract | Compositions and methods for treating viral infections, such as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infections, are described. The compositions can include flavan-3-ols, proanthocyanidins, flavones, flavonols, and/or dihydroflavonols. Also described are methods and compositions for inhibiting the main protease of SARS-CoV-2 and methods and compositions for inhibiting binding of human angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (hACE2) and SARS-CoV-2 spike (S) protein.
L'invention concerne des compositions et des méthodes de traitement d'infections virales, telles que des infections du coronavirus 2 du syndrome respiratoire aigu sévère (SARS-CoV-2). Les compositions peuvent comprendre des flavan-3-ols, des proanthocyanidines, des flavones, des flavonols et/ou des dihydroflavonols.
