Summary:A battery diagnosis device according to the present invention comprises: a memory configured to store an observation matrix including multiple observation voltage vectors indicating a time series of cell voltages of multiple battery cells; and a control unit configured to determine multiple primary component vectors, multiple singular values, and multiple coefficient vectors from the observation matrix. Each coefficient vector comprises multiple coefficients corresponding to the multiple observation voltage vectors one-to-one. The control unit is configured to: with respect to each coefficient vector, compare multiple coefficients included in the corresponding coefficient vector, so as to determine an invalid coefficient among the multiple coefficients; and detect anomaly of a battery cell corresponding to the invalid coefficient, among the multiple battery cells, on the basis of a primary component vector corresponding to the corresponding coefficient vector, among the multiple primary component vectors, a singular value corresponding to the corresponding coefficient vector, among the multiple singular values, and the invalid coefficient.
