This human body detection device includes: a human body detection means for detecting a human body from a captured image; a moving body determination means for determining whether the detected human body is a moving body on the basis of the image; a condition determination means for determining whether the detected human body has satisfied a predetermined condition shown by a human body which moves into a frame of the image; a mode setting means for maintaining a first mode until it is determined that the predetermined condition has been satisfied, and switching to a second mode from the first mode in accordance with it being determined that the predetermined condition has been satisfied; and an information output means for, in the first mode, outputting information about the human body when it has been determined that the detected human body is a moving body, and in the second mode, outputting information about the human body regardless of whether it has been determined that the detected human body is a moving body.
