Tragbare Synchronisationsstation (1) für einen Inhalator (2), vorzugsweise für ein elektronisches Zigarettenprodukt, umfassend folgende Komponenten - einen ersten Energiespeicher (4), - einen ersten Datenspeicher (5), - einen ersten Prozessor (6), - eine Aufnahme (3) zum Einsetzen des Inhalators (2), und - eine Inhalatorschnittstelle (8), die dazu eingerichtet ist, eine Datenverbindung mit dem Inhalator (2) herzustellen, wenn der Inhalator (2) in die Aufnahme (3) eingesetzt ist, wobei - als weitere Komponente eine Drahtlosschnittstelle (7) vorgesehen ist, die dazu eingerichtet ist, Daten an eine entfernte Basisstation (11) zu übermitteln, wobei - die Synchronisationsstation dazu eingerichtet ist, die Draht- losschnittstelle (7) derart zu steuern, dass regelmäßig automatische Verbindungsversuche mit der Basisstation (11) unternommen werden, und eine definierte Datenmenge der in dem ersten Datenspeicher (5) gespeicherten Daten an die Basisstation (11) übermittelt wird, sobald eine Verbindung mit der Basisstation (11) besteht.
