Summary:Spent catalyst (500) is removed from process microchannels (310) of a Fischer-Tropsch reactor by directing a jet of air (4) from an air knife (1) through slots of a protecting member (2). The air knife is traversed across successive rows of process microchannels (310) in direction A. The spacer member (2) protects an internal microchannel architecture (315) of the process microchannels against damage by the air jet (4) which may approach or exceed sonic velocity as it is directed into the process microchannels. Le catalyseur usé (500) est éliminé des microcanaux de traitement (310) d'un réacteur Fischer-Tropsch en dirigeant un jet d'air (4) à partir d'un couteau à air (1) à travers des fentes d'un élément de protection (2). Le couteau à air est traversé par des rangées successives de microcanaux de traitement (310) dans la direction A. L'élément d'espacement (2) protège une architecture de microcanal interne (315) des microcanaux de traitement contre un endommagement par le jet d'air (4) qui peut approcher ou dépasser la vitesse sonique lorsqu'il est dirigé dans les microcanaux de traitement.
