A heating element is disposed around multiple sides of a cross-sectional perimeter of the fluid chamber and an insulator is disposed around multiple sides of a cross-sectional perimeter of the heating element. The thermal cycling device also includes a conductive body disposed around multiple sides of a cross-sectional perimeter of the insulator.
