Summary:A muscle control device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises: a plurality of electrodes; an electromyography (EMG) electrode unit which senses EMG signals; an EMG circuit unit which generates channel data on the basis of electrode signals received from the EMG electrode unit; a control unit which receives the channel data from the EMG circuit unit, extracts volitional EMG signals on the basis of the channel data, and determines functional electrical stimulation (FES) variables on the basis of the volitional EMG signals; an FES electrode unit which outputs FES on the basis of the FES variables; and an FES circuit unit which receives the FES variables from the control unit, generates the FES on the basis of the FES variables, and transmits the FES to the FES electrode unit, wherein the control unit identifies the direction and strength of an operation from the volitional EMG signals on the basis of the volitional EMG signals, and adjusts the intensity of the FES.
