L'invention concerne un matériau d'acier plaqué d'AL pour formage à chaud qui possède une couche de placage d'AL de taux d'alliage supérieur ou égal à 35% au niveau d'au moins une surface du matériau d'acier, et qui présente un rapport d'épaisseur maximale de ladite couche de placage d'AL vis-à-vis de l'épaisseur minimale de ladite couche de placage d'AL compris entre 1,0 et 5,0. 鋼材の少なくとも1つの表面に合金化率が35%以上のAl系めっき層を有し、前記Al系めっき層の最小厚さに対する前記Al系めっき層の最大厚さの比が1.0~5.0である熱間成形用Al系めっき鋼材とする。
