A sheet storage box having a box body that stores a plurality of stacked sheets and an extraction opening that is formed by opening a part of the top surface of the box body, wherein: the part of the top surface that is opened has a first region having a given length which extends in a first direction and a given width which extends in a second direction intersecting the first direction, and a pair of second regions opposite from each other in the first direction with the first region therebetween; and the second regions are opened independently of the first region.
