Summary: | The present application relates to a periscopic optical system, a camera module, an electronic device, and a stabilization method. The periscopic optical system comprises a lens group and a reflecting prism located at an object side of the lens group; the reflecting prism has a reflecting surface; the periscopic optical system has a reference axis perpendicular to the optical axis of the lens group; the reference axis and the optical axis are arranged in a coplanar mode, and the plane where the reference axis and the optical axis are located is perpendicular to the reflecting surface; a stabilization mechanism is used for driving the reflecting prism to rotate around a rotating shaft perpendicular to the reference axis so as to correct shaking of the periscopic optical system. The periscopic optical system has a good stabilization effect, and moreover, the motor is simple in arrangement, low in power consumption and high in reaction speed.
