A secondary battery according to the present invention is provided with a battery element including a cathode and an anode that face each other across a separator, a cathode terminal connected to the cathode on a side of the cathode which faces the anode, an anode terminal that is connected to the anode on a side of the anode which faces the cathode and that is arranged at a position such that the anode terminal does not face the cathode terminal, and a porous member arranged in an area between the cathode terminal and the anode terminal.
