Embodiments herein are directed to a resonator for an ion implanter. In some embodiments, a resonator may include a housing, and a first coil and a second coil partially disposed within the housing. Each of the first and second coils may include a first end including an opening for receiving an ion beam, and a central section extending helically about a central axis, wherein the central axis is parallel to a beamline of the ion beam, and wherein an inner side of the central section has a flattened surface. La présente invention concerne, selon certains modes de réalisation, un résonateur destiné à un implanteur ionique. Dans certains modes de réalisation, le résonateur peut comprendre un boîtier, et une première bobine et une seconde bobine partiellement disposées à l'intérieur du boîtier. Chacune des première et seconde bobines peut comprendre une première extrémité comprenant une ouverture destinée à recevoir un faisceau ionique, et une section centrale s'étendant de manière hélicoïdale autour d'un axe central, l'axe central étant parallèle à une ligne de faisceau du faisceau ionique, et un côté interne de la section centrale ayant une surface aplatie.
