The current invention relates to a novel water-soluble, biodegradable, non-toxic, composition, and methods thereof, for reducing indoor and outdoor pollution of ambient air that is in proximity to a surface coated with the disclosed composition. The disclosed particle-binding composition comprises di- and trivalent alcohols, at least one thickener, at least one short chain triglyceride, and optionally, at least one additive. La présente invention concerne une nouvelle composition non toxique, biodégradable et soluble dans l'eau, ainsi que des procédés associés, pour réduire la pollution intérieure et extérieure de l'air ambiant qui est à proximité d'une surface revêtue de la composition décrite. La composition de liaison de particules de l'invention comprend des alcools di- et trivalents, au moins un épaississant, au moins un triglycéride à chaîne courte, et éventuellement, au moins un additif.
