In order to reliably release an engagement state with a striker after having suppressed conditions in which assembly operations become more complex and manufacturing cost increases, the present invention is configured so as to comprise a latch member 10, a ratchet 20, and a secondary pole 30, the ratchet 20 being provided with a link member 120 that engages, in an engagement position, with the secondary pole 30 in a blocked position, whereby rotation of the link member 120 to a disengagement position is limited, and a main pole 220 that is supported by the link member 120 so as to be capable of tilting, and the secondary pole 30 contacting the link member 120 when the secondary pole 30 is rotated from the blocked position to an unblocked position in a state where the link member 120 is positioned in the engagement position and allowing the link member 120 to rotate to the disengagement position.
