A detergent supply unit for a drum washing machine according to the present invention includes: a detergent holding container; a water supply part for pouring water into the detergent holding container; a frame body (40) which removably houses the detergent holding container and which causes liquid discharged from the detergent holding container to reach a rotary drum; a water supply hose (26); and a water supply pathway. A silver-ion unit (42) for eluting silver ions is attached to the upstream side of the water supply pathway and the water supply hose (26). The silver-ion unit (42) is so formed as to discharge silver ion-containing water toward the frame body (40). Thereby, since the silver ion-containing water is supplied to laundry via a detergent supply pathway during washing operation, silver ions are provided to the detergent supply pathway. In addition, the silver-ion unit (42) can generate silver ion-containing water during a water-supplying process performed by the water supply part, and deliver the silver ion-containing water into a water tank unit.
