Summary:An illuminated garment includes a base layer having knitted looped threads that hold in position a plurality of optical fibers. The optical fibers are laid into the base layer during the same knitting cycle as the base layer and are configured to emit light through the respective sides of the optical fibers and along the length of each optical fiber in response to receiving light from a light source through at least one end of the respective optical fibers. L'invention concerne un vêtement éclairé qui comprend une couche de base constituée de fils bouclés tricotés qui maintiennent en position une pluralité de fibres optiques. Les fibres optiques sont insérées dans la couche de base pendant le même cycle de tricotage que la couche de base et sont conçues pour émettre de la lumière à travers les côtés respectifs des fibres optiques et sur la longueur de chaque fibre optique lorsque de la lumière provenant d'une source lumineuse est reçue à travers au moins une extrémité des fibres optiques respectives.
