Summary:Described herein is a liquid electrophotographic ink composition comprising: a thermoplastic resin comprising a polymer having acidic side groups; a charge adjuvant comprising a complex of a metal(II) cation and two monovalent anions; or a complex of a metal(III) cation and three monovalent anions; or a complex of a metal(III) cation, a monovalent anion and a divalent anion, wherein each monovalent anion is independently selected from carboxylate anions having from 2 to 16 carbon atoms and alkoxide anions having from 1 to 16 carbon atoms; and wherein the divalent anion is selected form the oxo group, dicarboxylate anions having from 2 to 16 carbon atoms, and dialkoxide anions having from 1 to 16 carbon atoms; and a liquid carrier. Also described herein is a method of producing the liquid electrophotographic ink composition and a printed substrate. La présente invention concerne une composition d'encre électrophotographique liquide comprenant : une résine thermoplastique comprenant un polymère ayant des groupes latéraux acides ; un adjuvant de charge comprenant un complexe d'un cation d'un métal(II) et de deux anions monovalents ; ou un complexe d'un cation de métal(III) et de trois anions monovalents ; ou un complexe d'un cation de métal(III), d'un anion monovalent et d'un anion divalent, chaque anion monovalent étant indépendamment choisi parmi les anions carboxylate ayant 2 à 16 atomes de carbone et les anions alcoxyde ayant de 1 à 16 atomes de carbone ; et l'anion divalent étant choisi parmi le groupe oxo, les anions dicarbonate ayant 2 à 16 atomes de carbone et les anions dialcoxyde ayant de 1 à 16 atomes de carbone ; et un support liquide. L'invention décrit aussi un procédé de production de la composition d'encre électrophotographique liquide et un substrat imprimé.
