Summary:The present application provides a Proportional Integral Differential (PID) control method and apparatus, and a video encoding and decoding system. The PID control method comprises: determining, according to a difference between an output value of a PID controller in a target control system and a theoretical value, the current reward value corresponding to PID parameters of the PID controller, the PID parameters comprising at least one of a proportional gain, an integral gain, and a differential gain; in the case that the current reward value is less than 0, updating the PID parameters according to the current accumulated reward value and the current reward value, the current accumulated reward value being determined according to the current reward value and the previous accumulated reward value; and performing next PID control to the PID controller in the target control system according to the updated PID parameters.
