The present embodiment provides an object detection apparatus and method, wherein part images are adaptively generated for a high-resolution image on the basis of a preceding result of object detection and result of object tracking, and augmented images are generated by applying data augmentation to the part images. Accordingly, an object can be detected and tracked on the basis of artificial intelligence (AI) by using the generated augmented images, and re-inference can be performed on the basis of a result of the detection and tracking. Le présent mode de réalisation concerne un appareil et un procédé de détection d'objet avec lesquels des images partielles sont générées de manière adaptative pour une image à haute résolution sur la base d'un résultat précédent d'une détection d'objet et d'un résultat de suivi d'objet, et des images augmentées sont générées par application d'une augmentation de données aux images partielles.
