Summary:An ice-making assembly, comprising ice-making molds (200) that define mold chambers, and an evaporator assembly (202) thermally connected to the ice-making molds (200). A compressor (114) is operably connected on a refrigeration loop and is used to allow a refrigerant flow to circulate in a refrigerant loop, thereby cooling the evaporator assembly (202) and the ice-making molds (200). The evaporator assembly (202) comprises a main evaporator tube (230) and a thermal enhancement structure (232) (such as inner tubes and/or a foamed copper structure) arranged inside said tube to enlarge the surface area of a refrigerant side. The main evaporator tube (230) is deformed into a shape having a non-circular cross-section, and is soldered or brazed onto the top walls of the ice-making molds (200).
