L'invention porte sur une biocathode enzymatique à biomasse à base de glucose, de monosaccharide, de cétone ou d'aldéhyde caractérisée par le fait qu'elle comporte : - un support conducteur collecteur; - disposées sur ledit support conducteur collecteur et étant liées avec lui, des particules conductrices; - une aldose réductase disposée sur lesdites particules conductrices, étant liée avec elles par adsorption et étant accessible en surface au réactif glucose, monosaccharide, cétone ou aldéhyde destiné à être réduit lors du fonctionnement de la biocathode.
