This power conversion device comprises: a voltage conversion circuit that converts a predetermined input voltage into a predetermined output voltage; a voltage detection circuit that detects the magnitude of the output voltage; and a control circuit that controls the voltage conversion circuit such that the average voltage of the output voltage is equal to a predetermined target voltage. The control circuit sets a target voltage between a predetermined upper limit threshold and a predetermined lower limit threshold, lowers the target voltage when the output voltage exceeds the upper limit threshold, and increases the target voltage when the output voltage is smaller than the lower limit threshold.
