This water treatment device 100 is provided with: a flocculant supply unit 10 that supplies a polymer flocculant PF to water W1 to be treated containing suspended materials S; and a filtering material 12 provided downstream of the flocculant supply unit 10, wherein the upstream-side portion of the filtering material 12 functions as a floc forming unit 1 that promotes the formation of floc F of the suspended materials S and the polymer flocculant PF by disturbing the flow of the water W1 to be treated, and the downstream-side portion of the filtering material 12 functions as a filtering unit 2 that allows the water W1 to be treated to pass therethrough but suppresses the floc F from passing therethrough.
