An optical fiber connector, comprising a transmission optical fiber (1). A coating layer (2) is arranged on the coupling end face of the optical fiber connector, and a slot (3) is formed in the first side and/or the second side of the coating layer (2); the projection of the transmission optical fiber (1) on the coupling end face of the optical fiber connector falls into the coating layer (2). The slot (3) is formed in the coupling end face of the optical fiber connector; an optical signal which is incident on a light-passing face enters into the transmission optical fiber (1), and the optical signal which is directed to the slot (3) is dissipated into the air by means of the slot (3), which reduces the reflection of the endface. Therefore, the optical fiber connector may withstand higher optical power and temperature, thereby improving the performance thereof.
