This sound state display method has: a step for acquiring sound data in which sound generated by an inspection object is collected; a step for executing analysis processing relating to a plurality of different indicators stipulating the presence/absence of an abnormality in the inspection object on the basis of the sound data; a step for generating a sound state image in which a sound state of the sound generated by the inspection object is indicated by the plurality of difference indicators, on the basis of the result of the analysis processing; and a step for displaying the generated sound state image in a display device.
