Inspection apparatus for inspecting an object such as a pellicle for use in an EUV lithographic apparatus, the inspection apparatus comprising: - a vacuum chamber; - a load lock forming an interface between the vacuum chamber and an ambient environment; - a stage apparatus configured to receive the object from the load lock and displace the object inside the vacuum chamber; wherein the vacuum chamber comprises a first parking position and a second parking position for temporarily storing the object. Cette invention concerne un appareil d'inspection pour inspecter un objet tel qu'une pellicule destinée à être utilisée dans un appareil lithographique à extrême ultraviolet (EUV), l'appareil d'inspection comprenant : - une chambre à vide ; - un dispositif de verrouillage de charge formant une interface entre la chambre à vide et un environnement ambiant ; - un appareil d'étage configuré pour recevoir l'objet à partir du dispositif de verrouillage de charge et déplacer l'objet à l'intérieur de la chambre à vide. La chambre à vide a une première position de stationnement et une seconde position de stationnement pour stocker provisoirement l'objet.
