| Abstract | Process for treatment of wastewater is provided. The wastewater includes suspended or dissolved wastewater components and an aqueous component. During the treatment process, at least a portionof a solids bed through which the wastewater is passed is dissolved using an electric current. Dissolution of the solids bed produces constituents which react with the wastewater and enable separation of thesuspended or dissolved wastewater components from the aqueous component. Also provided is asystem for carrying out the process.
L'invention concerne un procédé de traitement des eaux usées. Les eaux usées comprennent des composants d'eaux usées en suspension ou dissoutes et un composant aqueux. Pendant le processus de traitement, au moins une partie d'un lit de solides traversé par les eaux usées est dissoute à l'aide d'un courant électrique.
