Summary:Process for treatment of wastewater is provided. The wastewater includes suspended or dissolved wastewater components and an aqueous component. During the treatment process, at least a portionof a solids bed through which the wastewater is passed is dissolved using an electric current. Dissolution of the solids bed produces constituents which react with the wastewater and enable separation of thesuspended or dissolved wastewater components from the aqueous component. Also provided is asystem for carrying out the process. L'invention concerne un procédé de traitement des eaux usées. Les eaux usées comprennent des composants d'eaux usées en suspension ou dissoutes et un composant aqueux. Pendant le processus de traitement, au moins une partie d'un lit de solides traversé par les eaux usées est dissoute à l'aide d'un courant électrique. La dissolution du lit de solides produit des constituants qui réagissent avec les eaux usées et permettent la séparation des composants des eaux résiduaires ou des composants d'eaux usées dissous du composant aqueux. L'invention concerne également un système de mise en œuvre d'un tel procédé.
