Summary:Disclosed are a method and device for encoding/decoding a scalable point cloud. The decoding method of the present disclosure may include: a step for acquiring, from a bitstream, an encoded texture image, an encoded geometry image, encoded occupancy map information, and encoded auxiliary patch-info; a step for acquiring a decoded texture image for each partition by using the encoded texture image; a step for reconstructing a geometry image by using at least one among the encoded geometry image, the encoded occupancy map information, and the encoded auxiliary patch-info; and a step for reconstructing a point cloud by using the geometry image and the texture image for each of the partitions. L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif de codage/décodage d'un nuage de points échelonnable. Le procédé de décodage selon la présente invention peut comprendre: une étape consistant à acquérir, à partir d'un flux binaire, une image de texture codée, une image de géométrie codée, des informations codées de carte d'occupation, et des infos codées de pièces auxiliaires; une étape consistant à acquérir une image de texture décodée pour chaque partition en utilisant l'image de texture codée; une étape consistant à reconstituer une image de géométrie en utilisant au moins un élément parmi l'image de géométrie codée, les informations codées de carte d'occupation, et les infos codées de pièces auxiliaires; et une étape consistant à reconstituer un nuage de points en utilisant l'image de géométrie et l'image de texture pour chacune des partitions. 스케일러블 포인트 클라우드 부호화/복호화 방법 및 장치가 개시된다. 본 개시의 복호화 방법은 비트스트림으로부터 부호화된 텍스처 영상, 부호화된 기하 영상, 부호화된 occupancy map 정보 및 부호화된 Auxiliary patch-info 정보를 획득하는 단계, 상기 부호화된 텍스처 영상을 이용하여 각각의 파티션에 대한 복호화된 텍스처 영상을 획득하는 단계, 상기 부호화된 기하 영상, 상기 부호화된 occupancy map 정보 및 상기 부호화된 Auxiliary patch-info 정보 중 적어도 하나를 이용하여 기하 영상을 복원하는 단계 및 상기 각각의 파티션에 대한 텍스처 영상 및 상기 기하 영상을 이용하여 포인트 클라우드를 복원하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
