A refrigeration cycle device according to the present invention has a refrigerant circuit in which a compressor for compressing a refrigerant that has been drawn in, a condenser for condensing the refrigerant by a heat exchange, a constriction device for reducing the pressure of the condensed refrigerant, and an evaporator for evaporating the pressure-reduced refrigerant by a heat exchange, are connected by piping so as to circulate the refrigerant, and the refrigeration cycle device is equipped with: a detection device for detecting a physical quantity serving as an index for determining a liquid backflow state of the compressor; a heating device for heating the refrigerant drawn into the compressor; and a control device for determining, on the basis of a detection value related to the detection carried out by the detection device, whether the heating device is to carry out heating of the refrigerant drawn into the compressor.
