L'invention concerne un procédé de surcadencement automatique d'une pièce ou puce en silicium, telle qu'une unité centrale de traitement (CPU). Une gamme de fréquences d'horloge, à la fois de la CPU et d'une antémémoire d'un système informatique, est testée, des paramètres étant surveillés, des limites de sécurité du système informatique étant assurées et des tests de référence étant exécutés, avant de parvenir à des fréquences de CPU et d'antémémoire d'après un score de référence sélectionné.
