An embodiment of the present disclosure provides a method for generating a tomographic image and an X-ray imaging apparatus according to same, by which, when a material having a large attenuation coefficient is inserted in an object, a ripple artifact and/or undershooting artifact that may occur on a tomographic image obtained by performing X-ray imaging of the object can be reduced, so as to improve the image quality.
