Provided is a lighting control device for a vehicular lamp that makes it possible to provide "welcome lighting" that produces a dramatic effect for a user. A lamp ECU (lighting control device) (3) comprises: a position detection means (31) that detects the current position of a user U of an automobile; a position recognition means (32) that outputs a start signal upon recognizing, on the basis of the detected current position, that the user U has approached the automobile; a mobile terminal (2) that is possessed by the user and capable of setting a lighting mode; and a lighting control means (33) that controls the lighting of a lamp of the automobile on the basis of a set lighting mode. When the start signal is output by the position recognition means (32), the lighting control means (33) carries out "welcome lighting" by controlling the lighting of the lamp on the basis of the lighting mode set by the mobile terminal (2).
