Summary:This application relates to a topical pharmaceutical composition of nimesulide or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. The composition comprises about 2% to about 5% w/w of nimesulide. It also provides method of alleviating joint pain and/or inflammation in a patient by applying such topical pharmaceutical compositions of nimesulide for at least about 2 times in a day. Cette invention concerne une composition pharmaceutique topique de nimesulide ou de sels pharmaceutiquement acceptables de celui-ci. La composition comprend environ 2 % à environ 5 % p/p de nimésulide. L'invention concerne également un procédé d'atténuation de la douleur articulaire et/ou de l'inflammation chez un patient par l'application de telles compositions pharmaceutiques topiques de nimésulide au moins environ 2 fois par jour.
