Provided is a method for producing an aromatic alkoxy silane (4) containing a hexafluoropropanol group (-C(CF3)2OH, HFIP group) from an inexpensive starting material at a high reaction conversion rate and high selectivity. This production method includes: a first step for obtaining an HFIP group-containing aromatic halosilane (2) by reacting an aromatic halosilane (1) with hexafluoroacetone in the presence of a Lewis acid; and a second step for obtaining an HFIP group-containing aromatic alkoxysilane (4) by reacting the HFIP group-containing aromatic halosilane (2) with an alcohol. L'invention fournit un procédé selon lequel un alcoxysilane aromatique comprenant un groupe hexafluoropropanol (4)（－Ｃ（ＣＦ3）2ＯＨ, groupe ＨＦＩＰ）, est fabriqué selon un taux de conversion de réaction et un taux de sélection élevés à partir d'un matériau de départ bon marché.
