A rock mechanics test system having adjustable loading rigidity, and a test method. The test system comprises a loading unit (1), used for performing loading on a rock specimen (5); a variable rigidity unit (2), used for adjusting the rigidity of the loading unit (1) during the loading; a monitoring unit (3), used for monitoring pressure changes in the rock specimen (5) and rigidity changes in the loading unit (1), and generating monitoring data; a data analysis unit (4), respectively connected to the loading unit (1), the variable rigidity unit (2) and the monitoring unit (3), and used for controlling the loading unit (1) to perform the loading, processing and analysing the received monitoring data, and controlling the variable rigidity unit (2) to adjust the rigidity of the loading unit (1) according to an analysis result.
