A connector housing attaches to the fiber optic ferrule assembly at the demarcation point (or after leaving the tight, microducts) to form a connectorized end of the optical fiber. A fiber tip is protected before leaving the factory until connection is desired. La présente invention se rapporte à un ensemble ferrule de fibre optique traité en usine et à un système de câble pouvant être installé sur place, qui sont conçus pour passer à travers des microconduits étanches lorsqu'ils sont acheminés vers un point de démarcation. Un boîtier de connecteur est fixé à l'ensemble ferrule de fibre optique à l'emplacement du point de démarcation (ou après la sortie des microconduits étanches) pour former une extrémité connectorisée de la fibre optique. Une pointe de fibre est protégée avant la sortie de l'usine jusqu'à ce qu'une connexion soit souhaitée.
