La présente invention concerne des dérivés d'acide hyaluronique libérant de l'oxyde nitrique de formule (I) dans laquelle les groupes carboxyliques de l'acide hyaluronique sont partiellement estérifiés avec un groupe capable de libérer de l'oxyde nitrique : (I) Les dérivés d'acide hyaluronique de l'invention sont aptes à libérer de l'oxyde nitrique (ON) et ils peuvent être avantageusement utilisés en ophtalmologie.
