Summary: | A method for manufacturing a water-tree retardant medium-voltage ethylene-propylene insulated cable, and a cable. The structure of the cable comprises: a conductor, a conductor shielding layer, an insulating layer, an insulating shielding layer, and a sheath layer which are sequentially provided around a same axis from inside to outside; a cross-linked polyethylene semi-conductive shielding material constituting the conductor shielding layer; an ethylene propylene diene monomer insulating material constituting the insulating layer; a rubber semi-conductive shielding material constituting the insulating shielding layer; and a polyethylene sheath material constituting the sheath layer.
