Die Erfindung betrifft eine Massagevorrichtung (1) zur Massage mittels Druckwellen, aufweisend ein Gehäuse (2) mit einem Griffabschnitt (4) und einem Massageabschnitt (6), wenigstens eine Kammer (10), die eine nach außen führende Öffnung (12) in dem Massageabschnitt (6) aufweist, wobei die Kammer (10) einen Stirnwandabschnitt (14), einen ersten Umfangswandabschnitt (16) und einen zweiten Umfangswandabschnitt (18) aufweist, wobei der erste Umfangswandabschnitt (16) zwischen dem Stirnwandabschnitt (14) und dem zweiten Umfangswandabschnitt (18) angeordnet ist und der zweite Umfangswandabschnitt (18) die Öffnung (12) definiert, wobei der Stirnwandabschnitt (14) wenigstens teilweise beweglich ist, und die Massagevorrichtung (1) eine Antriebseinrichtung (24) zum Versetzen des Stirnwandabschnitts (10) in eine vorbestimmte Schwingung (S1, S2, S3) aufweist, und wobei der erste Umfangswandabschnitt (16) im Wesentlichen steif ist und der zweite Umfangswandabschnitt (18) im Wesentlichen flexibel ist.
