A functional underwear of the present invention is provided with: a chest covering part (11) composed of left and right chest covering parts (111, 112); and a back covering part composed of left and right back covering parts (21, 22). The left chest covering part (111) is formed of a stretchable material that covers an area ranging from the lower edge of the left breast to the left shoulder of a wearer, and expands and contracts in a direction connecting the pit of the stomach to the left shoulder of the wearer; and the right chest covering part (112) is formed of a stretchable material that covers an area ranging from the lower edge of the right breast to the right shoulder of the wearer, and expands and contracts in a direction connecting the pit of the stomach to the right shoulder of the wearer. The left back covering part (21) is opposite the left chest covering part (111) with the upper body of the wearer therebetween, and is formed of a stretchable material expanding and contracting in the same direction as the left chest covering part (111); and the right back covering part (22) is opposite the right chest part covering part (112) with the upper body of the wearer therebetween, and is formed of a stretchable material expanding and contracting in the same direction as the right chest covering part (112).
