Provided is a contact which can be used in a configuration in which an object to be connected can approach and be connected to a protruding portion from a width direction thereof, and which enables stable formation of an electrically conductive path having a reduced electrical length. The contact comprises a single electrically conductive plate material which is bent and formed into: a housing; a protruding portion protruding from an opening of the housing and configured to contact an object to be connected; and a spring portion which is contained in the housing and of which a free end side is connected to the protruding portion to urge the protruding portion in the protruding direction. The protruding portion forms a side wall portion on the free end side, and includes guiding side-wall portions branching in each of width directions thereof and extending in the opposite direction from the protruding direction. One of the guiding side-wall portions has at least a free end portion thereof in elastic and slidable contact with a wall portion inner surface of the housing. L'invention concerne un contact qui peut être utilisé dans une configuration dans laquelle un objet à connecter peut être rapproché d'une partie en saillie et y être connecté, à partir du sens de sa largeur, et qui permet la formation stable d'une voie électroconductrice de longueur électrique réduite. Le contact comprend un seul matériau de plaque électroconductrice, qui est courbé et formé en : un boîtier ; une partie en saillie faisant saillie à partir d'une ouverture du boîtier, et conçue pour entrer en contact avec un objet à connecter ; et une partie à ressort, qui est contenue dans le boîtier et dont un côté d'extrémité libre est relié à la partie en saillie pour pousser la partie en saillie dans la direction en saillie. La partie en saillie forme une partie de paroi latérale sur le côté d'extrémité libre, et comprend des parties de paroi latérale de guidage se ramifiant dans chacun de ses sens de la largeur et s'étendant dans la direction opposée à la direction en saillie.
