The present invention provides novel solid state forms of 2-((5-bromo-4-(4- cyclopropylnaphthalen-1-yl)-4H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)thio)acetic acid of formula (I) namely crystalline Form-M, crystalline Form-S, crystalline Form-N, crystalline Form-L, crystalline Form-M1, crystalline Form-M2, crystalline Form-M3, crystalline Form-M4 and process for their preparation thereof.
